We are happily scrapping...Brenda, Karrie, Mindy and me! Yay! Finally got to meet Karrie and Mindy in person and they are so awesome! Mindy's husband cooked us a wonderful breakfast, we hit the Michael's, the Starbuck's and now we are back to business. Karrie and Mindy are whipping out layouts and B and I are working on cards. Here is one I finished a bit ago..

And I am grateful. Life is more hectic than usual around here.. hence my absence from the blogging world. But believe me, I am not complaining. Work has picked up and I have taken on quite a few side jobs. I am settling in for a long road in this rough economy and who knows when my luck will run out. So I take it while I can get it.
Winter has been pretty harsh and I am totally sick of hauling water buckets to the barn. On a good note though I completed a yellow page ad for a friend of mine whose husband owns a plumbing business and in exchange for the ad he is going to fix my barn pump! Yay! This time next year all will be good! Now if only the 2 feet of snow would melt and we could stay above 30 for a few days! Oh and the sickness. If everyone in my family could just be well for one full week - at the same time - life would be perfect!
My scrapping and cardmaking time has been reduced, but I did manage to get my BFF Brenda over for a few hours and I finished up my cards for The Shaker Box Shakin' Card Kit this month. The first one is my fav. I just LOVE the cloth label that came in my kit and the sheer ribbon is so much fun to work with. Here is my finished card:
The second card really made me step out of my element and use colors that I would normally not use together. Yellow, blue and Purple. BUT.. I think that it came out nice and it was actually a lot of fun to make!
I used Robin's Egg Blue on the chipboard scallop and just a teeny bit of glitter on the purple die-cut flower.
I am loving The Shaker Box! All my buds are there and we are getting things in order with new challenges, contests, sketches and more. Everyone is getting along and pitching in where needed. Truly a blessing! Linda just chose her new DT's and I am anxiously waiting to see all of their fabulous creations! I just got my card kit for March and I am so excited!!! Everything is so adorable! I can't tell you what is in it, but I can say this.. it has to do with babies! Shhh! I am just so honored to be a Guest Designer over at Keep In Touch Card Shop! The list of ladies is amazing! And Kelly, well, she is amazing as well! We met during a time that we were both going through some personal stuff that was very similar. I continue to support her and am so happy that I got the chance to meet someone so special!
