Well, I had wanted to get back here last night to post things from the crop, but I got so busy I never had time! There were lots of games to play and some great challenges. I finished one challenge and I worked on an example for my own challenge, but never got to post it because I finished them both up around 12:30!!! I even missed the dropping of the ball! Oh well! So here is the card I did for what was to be my challenge for the crop:
The challenge was going to be to create a non-traditional Happy New Year's card using stamps of some sort. I used the little owl, the circle calendar and branch from the Autumn Harvest Pink Paislee set (got it for a STEAL at The Shaker Box) and the {happy} is from Stampin' Up. The paper is mostly October Afternoon (courtesy of my BFF Brenda!!) and I cut the "09" from the Storybook cartridge on my Cricut. Added some embellies to finish it off! I think it is fun and fresh!!
I completed Mindy's AWESOME sketch challenge using mostly everything from kit from Kelly at Keep In Touch. The only thing I added were some dried flowers and one little tiny bit of lace. I LOVE this kit! The sketch/challenge was great and I have one more layout to put in Lauran's graduation album!
All in all the crop was fun and Mindy did a great job as hostess!
So this year I am going to try to take more everyday pics, do more layouts to get caught up with my 3 upcoming graduations and make more cards to sell at the coffee shop and the Etsy store. These are "goals" - not resolutions! I never keep my resolutions but I strive to meet my goals.
Had a GREAT time today at my Auntie's house. All of us, except Lauran - she had to work today, and my cousin Dave, his wife Stephanie and their supe cute little boy Owen went to Aunt Granny's and Uncle Dad's for dinner. Dinner was great followed with catching up and kids playing in the background. I even think the older kids enoyed it! They loved watching Owen and Jordan play. It was nice and I wish we could do it more often.
Hope everyone had a fantastic New Year's Eve and I hope this next year really rocks for all of you!
Thanks for stopping by! {jill b}
